SRAM Force eTap AXS 12 Speed Rear Derailleur

The SRAM Force eTap AXS rear derailleur allows you to shift 12-speed electronic gears with a wide bandwidth and optimal chain guidance.

The Orbit technology ensures quiet and smooth shifts thanks to its sophisticated rear derailleur damping system. The large X-Sync derailleur pulleys shine with their dirt resistance and efficient chain management. With the wireless, electronic control, you don’t have to worry about the wiring. The eTap shifting logic allows you to shift easily and intuitively. You can control the rear derailleur electronically, even managing it via app if you wish. The rear derailleur brings your chain smoothly over the cassette, no matter whether you ride 1-speed or 2-speed and whether you stay on the road or seek adventure on gravel tracks.

Technologies

eTap – SRAM’s eTap is a simple, unambiguous and intuitive shifting logic. With the left shift lever you move the rear derailleur inwards to a larger sprocket, with the right shift lever outwards to a smaller sprocket. With the shift lever pressed down, you can directly shift several gears. Pressing both shift levers at the same time causes a derailleur movement in 2x shifting systems.

Orbit – Orbit technology is an innovative new form of derailleur motion control. It utilizes silicon fluid as part of an elegant and ultra-lightweight damper system. Compared to a standard friction clutch system, Orbit technology places no additional resistance on the rear derailleur’s spring when under slow or light movement. This means easier shifting and rear wheel removal. And while riding, the fluid damper reduces chain bounce. It’s rock-solid reliability for both 1x and 2x systems.

AXS – AXS is SRAM’s new bike component integration system that connects electronic bicycle components and software. The SRAM AXS app allows riders to see battery status, change component behavior, personalise controls, get maintenance reminders, and update firmware.
